Customer Experience is reshaping the retail industry. Digitalization has become a tool for fully exploring a customer and catering to the multitude. With higher spending power in 2018 than Baby Boomers’, the Customer 3.0 is a new target, and the strategy needs to be redefined. Outsiders have taken the lead on traditional retailers, and the latter must answer immediately or see their large shops become burdens to them. A strong digital presence will be essential to survive, but it will remain a strategy tool, and not a strategy in itself.
