Russia – from recession to recovery, but to what extent and how fast?
For two consecutive years, Russia has had a contraction in activity (-2.8% in 2015 and -0.2% in 2016). Even though the growth forecasts for 2017 are positive, they still remain very low (1%), but the Russian auhorities aim for higher minimum annual growth (5%) through a change in growth model. Nevertheless, many factors will make this change a difficult one, and growth should hardly exceed 1.5%.
