Malgré les taux de croissance élevés qu’a enregistrés le PIB roumain au troisième trimestre (8,8%), beaucoup d’incertitudes pèsent fortement sur le scénario économique et politique roumain. Le nouveau gouvernement, arrivé au pouvoir en décembre 2016, a mené une série de réformes fiscales visant à augmenter les revenus disponibles (baisse de la TVA, diminution de la taxe sur les bénéfices) et un certain nombre d’autres mesures comme des augmentations de salaires et de retraites sont déjà planifiées. Certes, cette politique a eu des effets positifs sur la consommation des ménages et donc sur le PIB. En revanche, cela se fait au détriment des investissements qui servent actuellement, pour ainsi dire, de variable d’ajustement de la politique budgétaire.
