Le commerce mondial face aux changements politiques et environnementaux

Selon Global Trade Alert, le nombre total de mesures protectionnistes mises en œuvre dans le monde a dépassé les 1 000 en 2018 et 2019, soit environ 40 % de plus que les trois années précédentes. Cela dit, « seulement » 23 % de toutes les mesures protectionnistes prises entre le 1er janvier 2017 et le 15 novembre 2019 ont été prises par les États-Unis ou la Chine. Par conséquent, le protectionnisme n’est pas l’apanage des deux plus grandes économies du monde et l’accord dit « de première phase » visant à mettre fin à la guerre commerciale entre celles-ci ne suffira probablement pas à mettre fin aux incertitudes liées aux tensions commerciales, qui ont réduit la croissance du PIB mondial d’environ 3/4 de point de pourcentage en 2019.
